Easy to use. I like the word of the day. Needs larger word selection.

This app absolutely is the worse than I bought no Portuguese pronunciation and the English pronunciation is not clear!!

The app has been deleted by accident from my accident from iPhone 3GS, so I tried to reinstall it from my App Store, but I was unable to do so, because the app is forcing me to update to the new iOS 5, which would render my iPhone 3GS unusable...

I enjoy using this app every day

It is very helpful but could use a larger selection of words.

An example: todays word is "vertex". How many people learning Portuguese need to know how to say "vertex"? Yes for a comprehensive dictionary thats great but for a word that pops up on my iPhone everyday thats more of a hindrance. There must be some Einstein who can program the app do that it only give us one of the 500 or 1000 most common words as word of the day. Also I agree with many of the other reviews. It needs Portuguese pronunciation.

For what it is--a phone app--this is a really handy and useful tool to have around. It is obviously not as all-encompassing or thorough in its word selection and definitions as some online or paperback dictionaries; its best to keep that in mind when referring to this. That being said I think anyone can still get a lot of use out of this-- and its free!

This dictionary has plenty of gaps, and basic information is lacking for each entry (no masculine or feminine!?). Avoid.

Save yourself time to load this app. Absolutely bad. Theres no way to save each words and it takes forever to load. Slow and unreliable. The daily words are all so random that they are not useful for a beginner who wants to learn Portuguese. I am searching for another app.

I look forward to learning my new word each day. As someone who is just learning Portuguese some of the words chosen are a bit outlandish, I would rather see more everyday words that would be helpful in finding my way around and speaking to the locals in shops and restaurants.

This is helpful for helping me remember words that I learned on my exchange year to Brazil.

Although sometimes slow, this app is great to have in class when I need to find a word in Portuguese. I wish it had functions to translate from Spanish to Portuguese, and I would love for it to show the gender of the word, but all in all worth it!
